Frequently Asked Questions
what are coromandel cold ice cubes made from?
Our reusable ice cubes are made from BPA-free, food-grade materials that are safe, durable, and designed for long-term use. Each cube contains 100% purified water.
are they safe for food and drinks?
Yes! They’re completely safe to use with drinks and around food. The outer shell is sealed and leak-proof.
how do i use the ice cubes?
Simply store them in the freezer, then pop them into your chilly bin, drink, first aid kit, ice bath or lunchbox when needed. They work just like regular ice – without the mess or waste.
how long do they stay cold?
Our cubes are designed to hold their chill for up to 48 hours inside a regular chilly bin (dependent on how many times the chilly bin is opened). They have a pocket of air around the inner cube which keeps the ice frozen for longer than regular ice. They are perfect for weekends away, day trips, beach missions, or backyard BBQs.
how many uses can i get out of one bag?
Each cube is designed to last a lifetime and can be reused up to 1,000 times. That’s a whole lot of plastic bags saved!
do they melt like regular ice?
Nope! That’s the magic. The cubes stay solid and reusable, so no puddles at the bottom of your chilly bin. No soggy packets of crackers, and no leakage.
are they environmentally friendly?
Absolutely. Each bag of Coromandel Cold cubes replaces up to one thousand single-use plastic ice bags, helping reduce waste in our oceans and landfills.
how do i clean them?
Just rinse them under water and let them dry before popping them back in the freezer. For a more thorough clean you can add a splash of kitchen detergent, and wash like normal.
can i recycle them when they reach 1,000 uses?
Yes. Once they reach the end of their life, the materials are recyclable – just check with your local recycling center.
