why we started coromandel cold
cool vibes, clean coastlines
Hey I’m Roman, and I spend alot of time at Matarangi Beach in the Coromandel. It’s more than just a beautiful view. It’s home.
I’m lucky enough to work as a Coastal Kaitiaki, which means I get to spend my days protecting and restoring the very beaches and coastlines that make this place so special. But the more time I spend out here, the more I see what doesn’t belong.
that’s why i started coromandel cold
New Zealand’s first reusable bag of ice.
It works and looks just like the traditional party or salt ice kiwis use by the thousands every year, but it’s built to be used again and again, saving you money and saving our beaches from one more piece of plastic waste every time - because good times shouldn’t come at the cost of places we love.
one of the worst offenders - discarded ice bags
They’re everywhere. Washed up on the shore, tangled in dunes, left behind at campsites and blown from boats.
All from something as simple as keeping a few drinks or fish cold.
If we all make small changes, together we can protect what makes Aotearoa so special.
Good times. Better beaches. Clean conscience.
